Ms. Lunt has thirty years of trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America for both white collar and non-white collar criminal defense and in the top fifty women lawyers in New England, and as a Criminal Defense “Super Lawyer” in Boston Magazine. Ms. Lunt handles an extensive range of criminal cases from first degree murder, sex offenses, drug conspiracy, racketeering, tax fraud and white collar cases to district court misdemeanors and juvenile delinquency proceedings. She has litigated numerous suppression motions, new trial motions and appeals, and has experience with the federal death penalty authorization process. She recently won an acquittal in federal murder/racketeering trial. In civil matters, Ms. Lunt represents both plaintiffs and defendants. Her civil practice includes personal injury, libel and slander, and civil rights. She is experienced in resolving civil cases through negotiation and mediation as well as trial. Ms. Lunt is a member of the Council of the Boston Bar Association and a former co-chair of the BBA Individual Rights and Responsibilities Section. She is also a Vice-President of the Board of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and co-chair of MACDL’s Legislation Committee. She has lectured at criminal defense training programs and has appeared on national and local television as a commentator on legal matters. Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. Lunt worked as a social worker in Britain, and as a court liaison for the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services.
