Norman Zalkind was listed as “Outstanding” in the National Directory of Criminal Defense Lawyers from 1983 through 1993, when the rating stopped.

In 1989, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers awarded Norman Zalkind its Champion of Liberty Award for Integrity, Fortitude and Ethical Ideals.
