Cambridge and Somerville

The City of Cambridge is likely best known for housing two of the most prestigious universities in the world: Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The city is known for its creativity and ingenuity and many well-known tech companies and start-ups have set up shop side by side within the city’s borders. Organized into a series of “squares” along the MBTA’s redline, Cambridge is broken up into many smaller neighborhoods.

Like its neighbor Cambridge, Somerville has a steady stream of college students and young professionals because of its proximity to many universities and colleges. Still, with a population of 75,000 residents, Somerville is home to a wide demographic and is the most densely populated municipality in all of New England. There is a thriving arts community within the city, which hosts many popular festivals and concerts throughout the year. From the nightlife in Davis Square with live music and theaters to the recent development at Assembly Row with an outdoor mall and restaurants overlooking the Mystic River, Somerville is becoming a destination within itself offering entertainment and activities for people of all ages.

Cambridge is located directly across the Charles River from Boston and is a part of Middlesex County. The Middlesex Probate and Family Court and the Middlesex Juvenile Court are located near each other in Cambridge, just across the bridge from Downtown Boston. However, the Middlesex Superior Court is located much further outside the city, with locations in Woburn and Lowell, and the Cambridge District Court is actually located in Medford. Somerville has its own District Court right next to Assembly Row, which is now accessibly by the Assembly Station on the MBTA’s Orange Line.

I hired Mr. Duncan to deal with a very sensitive issue that my daughter had. Since the first contact, I had a very good impression of him. He transmitted confidence and appeared to know exactly what to do. I called and emailed him many times, he was polite and comprehensible with the anxiety of a father and appeared to know every step to solve the case. I strongly recommend Mr. Duncan. Flavio Lajoia

I worked with Emma Quinn-Judge and Monica Shah. And from my first contact on the phone, on to my first meeting in their office and during the trial, I found them and the firm's entire team to be a group of consummate legal professionals who are very knowledgeable, patient, dedicated, fair, honest and caring... I am forever grateful to all the staff at this firm, but in particular, Ms. Shah, Mr. Zalkind and Mr. Silverglate. They represented my son who was being sought for extradition to Scotland. The case took years to fight, covering new legal ground, setting precedence. But each one of these legal eagles went above and beyond the duty of office... Suzanne D.
