Mr. Duncan has practiced for the last twenty-two years at the firm in both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level , and he has tried or been co-counsel on numerous major criminal cases. He was recognized as a Criminal Defense "Super Lawyer" in Boston Magazine.

His practice includes cases involving internet and computer crimes. Most recently, Mr. Duncan was co-counsel in a federal tax fraud conspiracy case in which the judge directed a verdict of acquittal after a four week trial.

Mr. Duncan also has an active practice in university discipline cases, where he advises students and faculty charged in internal proceedings. He has successfully persuaded a university to grant a new hearing to a client who had been expelled, resulting in a reduced sanction after a second hearing. Another client had charges dismissed after Mr. Duncan brought First Amendment defenses to the school's attention.

Mr. Duncan is a contributing author in Massachusetts Criminal Practice, edited by Blumenson, Fisher and Kanstroom. He has taught in the clinical program at Suffolk University Law School, and in the Committee for Public Counsel's Bar Advocacy training program.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Duncan practiced civil litigation and real estate law for two years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was a clerk on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
