
Ms.
Stroup practices in the areas of criminal defense and
civil litigation. She has worked on civil and criminal
cases in both state and federal courts, and has co-written
an appellate brief filed with the United States Court
of Appeals for the First Circuit.
While in law school, Ms. Stroup interned with Cambridge
and Somerville Legal Services, the Honorable Nancy Gertner,
United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts,
the Committee for Public Counsel Services, and ZRLD.
As a law student intern at ZRLD, Ms. Stroup worked with
Inga Bernstein and Monica Pastorok on an employment
discrimination and retaliation trial in federal court,
in which they won a $2.2 million jury verdict on behalf
of their client. Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. Stroup
served in AmeriCorps and VISTA, and was a bicycle mechanic.
